Probably this is the first time I post about a Portuguese series. As far as I could find, it is not original from Portugal but Spain, but adapted (or localized) to Portugal. It is sufficiently strange, and includes enough reference to history, to make it interesting. I liked the first episode and will give it a chance. Keep tuned.
I leave to the readers to find an excuse why I chose this specific picture. In any case, and although I am not a big fan of Batman, this movie was interesting, as it is not the usual super hero movie, fighting a criminal, but some more, creating a character. And that is always interesting to observe.
Regarding the movie, not much to say. Just that I am waiting for the new Batman Lego sets. There are some good promises.
Other than that, I take the occasion to talk about super-heroes. Does they need to be extra-terrestrial (like Superman or Thor), bitten (like Spiderman), a scientific experiment (like Captain America or HULK), to have a genetic property (like all X-man superheroes) or… to be rich (like Ironman or Batman). I do not know any poor superhero. At least I do not remember any. And no, Robbin Hood is not a Superhero.
No, I did not choose this picture only because of the boobs. Even because they are nothing special. But because of the sentence. What do you remember first from your life? I confess I do not have many old memories. It seems my mind likes to save other things…
In any case, back to this series. I know I already have too many series being watched, and most of them stalled for some time. But I saw an advertiser on this and I got interested.
So, this series tells the story of Leonardo Da Vinci. Of course you can’t trust it. It is a story. But it includes some real references. The problem is telling what is truth and what is imagination. In any case the maniac interest on machines, namely flying machines, is a truth.
For now the story is nothing brilliant. But I love the opening sequence and the CGI scenarios. So, for now I am interested in seeing where this is going. News later, if I even end watching the season.
If you didn’t watch this complete season, please stop reading here. Yes, there will be spoilers, right in the next sentence. I confess I wasn’t expecting this end. Given the route of the season, yes, Percy would die, and division would come to an end. But I was expecting this series to end, just like House. I thought that was it, and not much more could be written. And, in fact, if they would continue the route of the first season, or even the second, the series would need to come to an end, fast.
In the first season we had Nikita spoiling up missions from division. It was a season where watching random episodes was possible. Of course some details of relationship between characters would be lost. But the stories were kind of contained in one episode. That route would tire the viewers. It would be the same kind of episode over and over again. That was the idea for series like Knight Rider, or McGuyver. It was also the idea of House, but for that to keep for eight years they changed the main focus from the ill patients to the craziness of House.
In Nikita that changed too. The second season is more like a soap, in the sense that you need to watch the episodes as a sequence to have full understanding of what is going on. People changed sides, and a small team grew together to put Percy down. And if Percy was division, we were expecting the series to finish that way.
But the writer seems to be intelligent, and was able to do a new change in the course, maintaining division, and, hopefully as the good guys.
Count on me to watch the next season. At least if we can keep Lyndsy Fonseca in the cast.
