This is that kind of series that go in a crescendo. At the beginning it was kind of slow, with an episode-based story, mostly on S.H.I.E.L.D. (God, that is tiresome to write) agents working. Then a bigger story is formed, curiously, joining some of the different stories that were told before. At the end, a big crescendo and a great season finale.
The, you have action, your have scifi (a lot), you have girls for every taste, and a lot of humor. And if that is not enough, you have Skye, a sexy… erm… E.T.
First the relevant question: where does he buy those clothes that survive such explosions? I might be interested.
The movie is OK. Nothing brilliant. But enjoyable for the kind of movie you expect from a Marvel hero. There are some flaws, even in the extended version, that make me sad. Also, there are some inexplicable details that I would like to see more clearly. For instance, [spoilers alert!] what would that Viper gain helping the old and dying human? That is not explained anywhere.
The best thing in this movie, and for the first time in this blog, is not a girl. But that bed where the old guy is dying. That seems great. I one to test one of those.
Now, kidding aside, the series is nothing brilliant for now (first episode). I am interested in watching it for the Marvel seal. I hope it gets better. Other than that, a lot of technology, some super-powers and cute girls. Namely this Chloe Bennet is just… beautiful. So, hope to have a better understanding of the quality of the series later.
Iron Men 3… erm… sorry for the confusion, Iron Man 3… but the amount of man in iron confuse me. What can I tell? well, worst of the three, worst than Avengers. Good for some jokes, but the story is quite bad in essence. Also, finishes in a not clear way… if Tony Stark’s heart generator (or whatever name it has) was needed for him to survive, how is it possible to remove it? And removing it, how will he power future armors? Yeah, although the ending can be understood as the end of Iron Man, it seems it will not be that way… so, lot to be explained in the next season… erm… sequel. My vote was quite generous at IMDB: 7 in 10.
Great movie. Not because of Scalett (but it helped) but mostly because of Iron Man (aka Stark). He is too fun. There are some great scenes with Hulk as well. Probably the one with less sense of humor is the Captain America.
When you watch one of these movies you are not expecting a great story (the story is the usual one). You are watching for the action and probably the special effects. For The Avengers you can count as well with tons of jokes. I think I laugh more with this movie than with some known as Comedies. Very good work. 10 in 10 at IMDB.
Getting back to the girls (you know me), I am waiting for the Black Widow movie. It needs to come out. Please! We want an action movie with Scarlett as main character. This is specially needed because Marvel doesn’t have that many woman heroes. I think this would make is justice to woman. And of course, we men, like to see Scarlett jumping around. Nevertheless, I need to say that Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) are sexy woman.
Yeah, I agree. It is kind of strange that for the Thor movie I post this picture. But to be sincere, I tried to capture one before, but I was too slow. This was what I get but I didn’t dislike it. So, here it is. Not really a Natalie Portman fan, but she is cute, and this picture shows her beauty. Taking the chance to talk about girls, I also liked Jaimie Alexander as Sif.
Well, but the movie… while the other two (Captain America and Iron Man) are more Sci-Fi, this is more Magic. That is kind of weird. Also, it is kind of weird to expect Thor as a super-hero in Earth, when he ends the movie in Asgard. Nevertheless, I wait to see how they connect in The Avengers.
There is a fragile connection to Iron Man, as Stark is mentioned, and some connection with Captain America (but only after the credits). If The Avengers were already been planned, I think the plot could be better written.
Not sure if I liked this more than Captain America or the other way around. They are two different kind of movies, and probably I have a preference for human Super-Heroes. Nevertheless, will give 8/10 @ IMDB for Thor.
Yeah, I couldn’t resist on posting here a screenshot with all these girls.First of all, a disclaimer: I am not a fan of Marvel Comics (the original books), but I am enjoying Marvel attack on the cinema. But I had in mind that Captain America didn’t use a gun. But probably I am wrong.
Regarding the movie, it seems that Marvel is in its origins stories. If I watched a few time ago X-Men First Class, where some heroes are presented in their beginning stories, here again, we learn how Captain America is born. Yet again, not sure if this is the official story, but that is not that relevant.
Regarding the movie itself, it is not bad, but it is not good. I think more could be done. Too much time is used in the Captain America dances, making it kind of boring (specially if you recall that the movie is 2 hours in length).
Nevertheless, there are some interesting scenes, there are some jokes, and Hayley Atwell is around. My vote is 8 @ IMDB. Next, Thor. I need to prepare for The Avengers. But unfortunately it seems we will not have the Black Widow movie :(.
Edit: I forgot an interesting fact. I loved the idea of adding Stark as a scientist, and showing a science fair, etc, making it somewhat parallel or related with Iron Man. Well, at least, my understanding is that Mr. Stark that appears in this movie should be Iron Man’s father.
Iron Man 2 or 2 Iron Men, that is the question. Good movie on digital effects, some good acting, and good music. Probably you are asking, music? Oh hell yes, they play Queen, Another one bites the dust. Given that I do not want to tell the story, I can summarize the movie as Iron Man, another Iron Man and, yes, yet another Iron Man. And a set of droids. And this already includes some spoilers. Fun, and action. And Scarllet Johansson making good action scenes. It is good to see some fight without the sound of metal. Oh, and of course, it is good to watch a girl, well, a beautiful girl, fighting. Voted 8 in 10. Probably too exaggerated. But some scenes (including Iron Man eating a doughnut in a doughnut) make my day.
Iron Man is not just another action/adventure movie with a MARVEL character. Iron Man is one of the best incarnations of a MARVEL hero in an Holywood movie.
I really love the special effects, and some of the interfaces designed to interact with software. While most are common Holywood crap, some other are just fantastic, like the interface used to manipulate the 3D rendering of the armor. That usability would be impressive.
