House (2004), S01E01

Yeah, it is quite old. Six years are gone, and this is my first House episode. You know, there is some limitations when you do not own cabled TV. Anyway, now that I got up-to-date on V and Castle and (almost) for Nikita, I decided to start another series. Yes, I still have a lot of episodes from Knight Rider (2009) to watch, but I am not very happy with them. Always watching and expecting it to get better.

Anyway, back to House. I think my main problem here will be understanding all the medical terms they use. Nevertheless, the story was easy to follow. And I like Hugh Laurie acting.

Before ending, just a cool quote:

House – People don’t want a sick doctor.
?? – That’s fair enough. I don’t like healthy patients.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (2010)

The Sorcerer's Apprentice
The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Went to the cinema to watch this movie. It was not bad, but probably not the kind of movie that is relevant to watch on the cinema. … erm, blue … The story is trivial, and highly related with Karaté Kid. … huh, blond … Also, as you can verify in the picture above, there is a little of DragonBall Z. … yeah, cute… Nicholas Cage’s acting is good, but nothing really marvelous. Saw some other movies with him quite better. hmms… Talking about acting, probably the best was Jay Baruchel. It should not be easy to talk like that…

Bart Got a Room (2008)

Bart Got a Room
Bart Got a Room

The most interesting thing about Bart Got a Room movie,  is that is is not about Bart. It is about some other guy that wants a Prom date, but can’t get it. But even Bart, a strange looking nerd guy got one date… and a suite at the hotel.

So, this is yet another teen comedy. Unfortunately, not much about the teen part. At least when considering the girl portion. The best moment is retracted above, with Ashley Benson. Nice girl. Nice eyes.

It resembles me some way me and my life, thinking a lot of times that Bart has a girlfriend being Bart some stupid and bad looking guy in the street. That might help not getting crazy begin single… ehehehe 😛

Cat Shit One (S01E01?)

Cat Shit One
Cat Shit One

I just watched what seems to be the first episode from Cat Shit One animated series. It is a small episode, just 20 minutes, in which two rabbits (the ones in the image above) rescue some other rabbits that are taken by a set of camels. I am sorry for the camels, being a Perl programmer. But I must admit that the rabbits are fluffy, cute, and armed to the teeth. I specially love seeing them from behind, looking to their cute bushy tail.

The story is nothing special. Just that, the rescue. But it is fun to watch the rabbits killing the camels.

GTA4: Some more missions

GTA4: Gun Store
GTA4: Gun Store

Some more play in GTA4 and, finally, Gun Stores are available. Missions completed today, include Crime and Punishment, Do you have protection?, and Final Destination. This last one was quite fun, to wreck a car. But it took some time, and almost wrecked mine first.

Also, had a second encounter with Brian, and found two flying rats, aka pigeons. I know there is one pigeon in the top of the roller coaster, but I can’t find an easy way to get there. I tried to put a car in the tracks, but that isn’t easy as well.

Bikini Girls on Ice (2009)

Bikini Girls on Ice
Bikini Girls on Ice

Bikini Girls on Ice is classified in IMDB as, in the main category, horror. I tend to disagree. Although the writer might want this to be a horror movie it is too soft.

First, there is no story. Some guy kills everybody he finds. Period.

So, how did I manage to watch the movie till the end? Look at the picture on the right and you will understand. Yes, the guy kills everybody he finds. But this movie director known that, if he added bikini girls, people would stay till the end of the movie. Not because they are interested in whatever will happen to them (they will die, of course), but because they are interested in looking to well looking girls in bikini.

And some handsome girls.

Movie is 4.2/10 in IMDB at the time of writing. I am sure it is not because of the movie. Rating 4, just because of them… the bikini girls.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009)

Ice Age 3 - Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Ice Age 3 - Dawn of the Dinosaurs

Today was cartoons day. Ice age 3 (hope I am counting them correctly) is great. Personally, better than the first, better than the second. Why? Not so much drama, much more action, much more fun. And, of course, Scrat is there, running around with his love… the acorn (nut).

Classification in IMDB? I am in doubt whether to give it the maximum classification. Yeah, I will…

Kick-Ass (2010)

Hit Girl @ Kick Ass Movie
Hit Girl @ Kick Ass Movie

Today I watched Kick-Ass, and before anything, I would like to give my compliments to Chloe Moretz (the actress in the photo) that would teach a lot on acting to most of Portuguese actors. Very nice (and I am not talking on the action parts, where stunts and special effects help a lot).

Second, I wasn’t expecting much of the movie. That might have helped. I was expecting a parody to super-heroes. It is not exactly that, and the story, while easy to predict, is nice to follow. Voted 9 in 10.

Before finishing, Lyndsy Fonseca is a nice girl. Very hot.

007 – Quantum of Solace (2008)

Gemma Arterton
Gemma Arterton @ 007 Quantum of Solace

After Get Smart, a less clumsy super agent, 007 in Quantum of Solace. Do not continue or I will give some spoilers. Not that I will tell you the full story but I need to do some complains:

  1. first, there is no excuse to wreck the Aston Marin in the first minutes of the movie. Instead they could offer it, and I would take care of it with love.
  2. second, there is no excuse to let Mrs. Fields (Gemma Arterton) to die. Instead… yes, I would take care of her with love. Beautiful girl.

Now, enough of complains. The movie is full of action, and that is nice. There are no dead scenes (as it existed in other movies from the series, when 007 goes to bed with girls). The only scene related to that would be the one above, but it is quick. Oh, and it has Gemma.

Get Smart (2008)

Get Smart
Anne @ Get Smart

Door opens. Door closes. Door opens. Door closes. Door opens again. Door closes, yet again. Yes, it is the old scenes from Smart Eye, the series. Yes, I was watching Get Smart (2008), with Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway. I think Steve was well chosen for Maxwell Smart. The movie is fun, the movie is easy to follow, with no dead scenes. And Anne Hathaway makes the movie yet more enjoyable.
