May 2005 Archives

vaticanosmall.jpgToday received a wood-mail from Vatican. Took the envelope and saw a stamp from Vatican city. My first thought was: hmms... who is taking some vacancies at Italy?

Well, I was wrong. These are news from an email I've send more than two months ago. But with the death of the Holy Father things must get confused.

So, this letter is to give me permission to use the parallel texts on the Holy Father section from the Vatican website for my PhD studies: these are indeed good news.

Doxygen is a documentation tool for C, C++, Java and other C like languages. Unfortunately it does not support Perl (yet, I hope).

Its basic idea is completely stolen from JavaDoc. Meanwhile, Doxygen generates better output in HTML and also generates LaTeX, RTF, man and XML. And more, if you have graphviz installed, Doxygen will create graphs of module dependencies and data structures hierarchy.

If you have to document your C or C++ tool a really suggest you to give a look into this nice tool.

To be, or not to be Another visit to ThinkGeek. This time I went to the t-shirt section. I just love these geeks shirts. From the simple ones like this Geek one, some other with a little more images like the Tux. There are cultural ones with poems), scientific information and much more and more nice t-shirts.

The main problem with all this is that ThinkGeek is an USA store. This means customs taxes. This means I can't buy any.

Well, for those who don't know, there is OpenStuff, an European store. Although they have a few nice t-shirts, we can't compare to the big quantity available on ThinkGeek. In any case, if you like any shirt from OpenStuff, buy it. Only buying stuff we can make the shop grow.

thecubes.jpgToday was looking to ThinkGeek and found this toy set. This is not properly the Barbie model, but is cute. It remembers me of Dilbert (I wonder why).

Now, my question is: does anybody at all buy these toys?

pb.jpgJust to let you know, sent an email today asking to order a 12" powerbook. Now, I just need to make them offer me a Tiger version.

Also, I need to pray. A teacher here at the university was more than three months waiting for an Apple laptop.
